William D. McDowell Observatory

The William D. McDowell Observatory, located in DeKorte Park, provides the public with spectacular stargazing opportunities. The Observatory is open on Wednesday evenings, year-round. Astronomers from Bergen Community College operate the facility.

Pontoon Boat Cruises

The NJSEA operates a fleet of pontoon boats, staffed by experts on the natural and human history of the region and certified in boating through programs by the U.S. Coast Guard and the State of New Jersey.

Nature Walks/Public Programs

The NJSEA and the Bergen County Audubon Society co-host regularly scheduled nature walks and special events at several Meadowlands locations.
